Here at Move Club, we encourage all members to use what you already have at home! If you’re looking to find specific equipment or equipment recommendations, you’ve come to the right spot.
Most Move Club classes use either light weights, medium weights, resistance bands, sliders and a mat. Our strength classes require heavier dumbbells, and some classes require a chair, bench or counter top.
Classes that require light weights typically call for 1-3lb weights.
We recommend 4-8lb weights for classes that require medium weights.
Resistance or loop bands are encouraged but not necessary. We recommend the Recreation Sweat resistance bands, but these are also a great and more affordable option.
Depending on the ground surface, different options are available for sliders. For concrete or wood floors, we recommend using a hand towel or these sliders with the soft side facing down.
For rugs or carpet we recommend using sliders with the hard surface facing down.
Ankle weights are always optional, but provide a great way to “level up” any Move Club workout. We love these.
Pilates balls are great, especially if you experience low back pain during abdominal exercises. We love this pilates ball.
For strength classes, we encourage members to use 10-20+ lb weights. You can find multiple options here.
The Stakt Mat is our preferred mat to use in Move Club classes because of the way it folds and how easy it is to use with sliders and combination exercises that require kneeling or moving from the floor to standing.
